#18 When Memory Fades. . . I was on the ELCA team that introduced the new ELW hymnal to the synod. This was one the hymns we highlighted. I’d never heard this hymn or the melody of “Finlandia.” -It was one of the hymns that moved me the most. Now that my mother is in a memory care unit in Chicago, it has special meaning to me.
