#19 When Peace Like a River . . . I remember the first time I sang this hymn. It was at a chapel service at Trinity Seminary. The preacher told the story of Horatio Spafford who wrote this hymn near the spot in the Atlantic where his daughters had drowned when the ship they were on sank. I’ve never sung it without thinking about that.
