Wounded . . . is a powerful description of the suffering and death of Jesus and the promise that Jesus will be our consolation and shield when our “last hour draws nigh.” The ELW made the wise decision to include the arrangement by J.S. Bach. I’m not sure why they bothered to include the “rhythmic” version as an option!
