#23 Stricken, Smitten, and
Afflicted . . . is one of my earliest childhood memories of Lent. I was captured by the mournful melody and the thought that Jesus suffered rejection and death to forgive me of my sins. We’ve only sung it a couple of times at Calvary since it is from the Missouri Synod hymnal so I’m glad I can share a sad song with y’all before I retire!
