Rock of Ages
I remember singing this hymn in a small country church in Ancram, New York. St. John’s, Lutheran during the summers of my youth. The church was started in 1847 and still had horse and carriage stalls behind the church. They didn’t have air conditioning, so we were given cardboard fans on a wooden stick that had the Lord’s Prayer on one side and Rock of Ages on the other.
